Visualization uses the power of your imagination to create more of what you want in life.
It operates on the premise that ideas precede manifestation. We always have an idea, or mental picture, about a work of art, making a meal, or planting a garden before it becomes reality. When we visualize, we purposefully create the mental energy that moves us towards action and outcome.
Visualization has been used successfully to change habitual behavior and attitudes leading to deep and meaningful growth. It can also have tremendous effects easing minor aches and major pain. It has even been documented as a significant element in recovery from serious physical illness.
In my practice, visualization can be used as a freestanding technique, or it can be used in conjunction with other therapies. My skill leading people through visualization exercises can reinforce and deepen talk therapy, recovery, EMDR and movement therapy as we work to create a safe place, reprogram negative self-talk, and/or developing relaxation and affirmation skills.
Customized audio recordings can be made for clients to use between sessions to reinforce our work.
